AIMUN

Amsterdam International Model United Nations

AUC’s Model United Nations Committee

Model United Nations (MUN) is a concept that unites young international students in participating in conferences concerning world issues, simulating the United Nations. Consequently, the future leaders of the world will recognize the importance of gaining knowledge of the current political and economic situation on a global scale. MUN also offers students an opportunity to learn about the different councils and the structure of the UN as well as to improve their skills in debating, teamwork, and presenting. Students from different cultures and backgrounds are connected in discussing problems and suggesting resolutions in a way that draws upon their experience and expertise in multiple disciplines.

With the Amsterdam International Model United Nations (AIMUN) association we strive to take part in the resolution making of MUN. AIMUN emerged as a student association bringing together motivated students from international backgrounds.

We seek to serve as a MUN platform for students, who are interested in global issues, and who would like to participate in MUN conferences. Joining an AIMUN delegation to an MUN conference means that we will help you with your registration, transportation and accommodation issues. MUN conferences are an enriching experience, both in terms of debating as well as socially! AIMUN also organizes MUN training sessions for students who want to improve their public speaking and debating skills, and thus, perform well and succeed in MUN conferences.
